Action® brand arm, elbow, and wrist pads made with our proprietary Akton® polymer gel are specifically designed to prevent pressure injuries on the arm.

Following best practices for pressure injury prevention, including the use of viscoelastic gel positioning devices, can significantly lower the occurrence of these injuries. Action® arm, elbow, and wrist pads help safeguard patients’ biceps, elbows, forearms, and wrists.

  • Ulnar-Forearm Protector – Helps protect the patient’s vulnerable ulnar nerve and full forearm from tissue damage caused by focal pressure or intraoperative shear. Designed to cradle high-risk bony prominences during prolonged procedures, it ensures pressure redistribution without restricting necessary clinical access.
  • Ulnar Nerve Protectors are available in large, small and pediatric sizes. They protect the patient’s ulnar nerve while providing greater visibility and access for the anesthesiologist managing an IV or A-line.
  • Toboggan Pad and Shield Set together secure the arm or leg position on the table and protect the patient from being leaned on or pinched during the procedure. The polymer pad cushions and helps protect the arm’s ulnar and radial nerves.
  • Hand-Wrist Support Pad – This reusable polymer gel pad offers stable, supportive hand and wrist positioning, officially replacing the need for makeshift rolled-up towels. It is designed for carpal tunnel procedures, arterial cannulation, dialysis access, and providing a stable foundation for peripheral IV or A-line insertions.
