The Xact® Classic wheelchair cushion combines a shear reducing Akton® polymer top with a multilayer foam base to create a comfortable, therapeutic seating experience for the wheelchair user. This wheelchair cushion provides forward and lateral positional support and pressure relieving properties. It is most often recommended for wheelchair users who do not transfer or self-propel. A soft, viscoelastic foam ischial insert provides targeted comfort and pressure relief for bony prominences. The multi-layer foam base is vacuum-sealed with a fluid resistant, flexible, protective wrap that helps extend the life and performance of the cushion. The Body Smart® Cover design helps to prevent sacral seating and reduces risk of shearing in high-risk areas. XACT® Classic Body Smart® replacement covers can be purchased separately. XACT® Classic Body Smart® Cover
The Body Smart® cover for the XACT® Classic wheelchair cushion is designed to assist in the proper alignment and positioning of the wheelchair user. The ischial area features a breathable, 4-way stretch, double-fabric panel to combat the negative effects of shearing and provide support to the wheelchair user. The front panel utilizes a fabric that grips across the pommel and into the leg channel to help prevent sacral seating by maintaining hip position and encouraging stability. Reinforced front corners enhance durability and large mated hook and loop at the base of the XACT® Body Smart®cover ensures wheelchair cushion remains in place on the chair.
XACT® Classic Reverse Dartex® Incontinent Cover
The Reverse Dartex® cover is the incontinent cover option for the Xact® Classic wheelchair Cushion. This fluid proof cover is made of a premium stretch polyurethane coated fabric that is bacteria resistant and PVC free. The bottom of this wheelchair cushion cover features a 1” nylon web handle plus two mated hook and loop attachments used to secure it to the wheelchair. The Reverse Dartex® Fabric moves easily with the patient and its stretchiness improves immersion for the wheelchair User.
