The Commuter™ wheelchair cushion offers basic pressure and shear reduction for low risk users at an affordable price. A 1/2″ layer of Akton® polymer is bonded to a 1 3/4″ foam base for lightweight comfort and protection. The cushion is fully sealed in a waterproof film barrier to prevent contamination from fluid and voids. The Commuter is sold with an Economy cover and a replacement Economy Cover can be purchased.

Designed for the Pilot™, Professional™, Centurian™, and Commuter™ cushion; the Economy wheelchair cushion cover complements the simple, functional design of the cushion. The durable, stretchy, double-knit polyester ponte fabric is breathable and allows the pass through of any unwanted fluids or voids. The Stretch ponte fabric moves with the patient to reduce unwanted shear and friction. The Economy Cover features a non-slip PVC-coated polyester bottom with 1” durable nylon web handle, a wide opening with a 1” pull ring zipper for easy removal and replacement of the Action® Pad. The Economy Cover is CAL133 approved, DEHP/ Phthalate free and can be machine washed and dried.
