This 1/2″ polymer pad protects the ilium, sacrum and area over the greater trochanter from shear and pressure damage while patient is in lateral position on the frame. A pocket is created by folding the curved end of the pad over itself and securing attached hook and loop. To place on frame, slide pocket over the back plate, allowing rest of pad to cover the interior of the back plate and base of the frame.
