Heel and Elbow Protectors

 Action Products has been designing and manufacturing Heel and Elbow Protectors for hospitals, long-term care facilities, and care givers using our proprietary Akton® polymer for over 50 years.

Akton® polymer is a dry, viscoelastic polymer. Its proprietary formulation is exclusive to Action Products and is the hallmark material of our Action® brand products.

AKTON Polymer

The ultra-soft polymer combined with the soft, flexible surface of our pads allows the product to move with the patient, reducing negative effects of shear on fragile skin. In addition, the Akton® polymer distributes weight and dissipates heat; lowering the risk of high-pressure points and hot spot development that can lead to pressure injuries. These benefits combined enhance pressure injury protection.

Impervious to Fluids

AKTON polymer is impervious to fluids, will not support bacterial growth, and does not leak or flow if punctured.
