Action Products, Inc. donates operating room products to Mercy Ships.
Hagerstown, MD, USA, August 26, 2009: Action Products, Inc. has chosen the Mercy Ships as their official corporate charity. The Mercy Ships organization provides medical care to the world's underserved population from a large cruising ship. The free services offered on this ship since 1978 have been valued at over $670 million and impacted more than 1.9 million people. Action Products, Inc. donated nearly $3000 worth of reusable pads and positioners to the African Mercy, due to sail on September 8, 2009. "We are a global company and felt a need to contribute product to the dedicated medical professionals that want to give the world's poor the best care possible," says Mistie Witt, President of Action Products, Inc. Medical Products Group. The Texas-based global charity, Mercy Ships, was honored in May on the floor of both the State of Texas House of Representatives and Senate for three decades of humanitarian efforts and outstanding contributions to global health.
