The Action® Orthopedic Hip Positioner was originally commissioned by Dr. William Hozack of the renowned Rothman Institute Orthopaedics in Philadelphia, PA for use during total hip replacements. Designed to complement the Anterior Supine Approach to THR, this unique positioner, often called a “bump”, was engineered to provide consistent, optimal site access and patient stability while protecting the patient’s skin integrity. Our soft Akton® polymer encases a rigid foam core to create a critical frame-like stability while simultaneously redistributing pressure and shear forces that can damage the sacral tissue.

Protect your patients from damaging pressure and shear forces with our newest Action® pad, designed to cushion the standard peg board device. The Action® Overlay and Post Pad Set protects skin integrity in the high-pressure lateral position, by redistributing pressure on fragile bony prominences. The post pads have a hook and loop attachment to universally fit your morph or peg board sets.

This pad is made to cover the Vac-Pac^® (bean bag). It is applicable for orthopedic, thoracic or urology procedures that dictate the patient be stable in the lateral position. Also ideal for total hip and kidney/liver procedures. See Details for size.

This pad is used for essentially the same type of procedures as model 40612. However, the configuration is specifically to cover the T-Shaped Vac-Pac^® (bean bag) whenever it is employed. See Details for size.

The Frog Leg Positioner provides maximum site access for saphenous vein harvesting. The contoured, double-channel base and the low profile design serve to elevate legs into an ideal position for this purpose. The ability to quickly achieve proper position saves both time and money while eliminating the need for costly and inefficient use of folded towels and sandbags. Constructed of high-density foam, the contoured base is covered by a 1/4" (0.6cm) Akton® polymer overlay with Hook and Loop attachments. See Details for size.

Knee Pad designed for use with the Andrews Frame^® on the knee platform to alleviate pressure and shear. Iliac Strap - Pressure reduction pad secures easily to adjustable strap with Hook and Loop attachments. Reduces pressure on the iliac crest and thigh areas. See Details for size.

A positioning pad for the main platform of the Montreal Lateral Positioning Device. This pad is used in a lateral decubitus position involving a total hip procedure. See Details for size.

This 4-piece set is designed to fit snugly over the four posts of the Relton Frame. Patients in the prone position on the Relton Frame, have extreme pressure localized at the four contact areas of the posts. The Relton Pad Set provides pressure protection, reducing the chance of pressure related tissue/nerve damage to the patient, regardless of surgery duration. See Details for size.

Designed to cover the Wilson Frame and provide patients with added protection from shear and pressure. Pads easily slip over frame and should be secured with Hook and Loop attachment. For orthopedic and neuro procedures when Wilson Frame is used. Two-piece set. See Details for sizes.

Designed for use on the fracture table plate, the primary function of these pads are to reduce pressure and shear at the sacral area. #40703, Hip Pad: 8" x 5 1/2" x 1/2" (20 x 14 x 1.3 cm), #40707, Hip Pad: 1 3/4" (4.4 cm) diameter hole to accommodate perineal posts. #40704, Post Pad: 7" x 5" x 1/2" (18 x 12.7 x 1.3 cm) this pad reduces pressure and shear on the patient's scrotum and upper leg areas. It also eliminates the tedious chore of wrapping and rewrapping the fracture table post with various makeshift items such as gauze, towels, etc.

Designed to fit over existing Saucer-shaped patient support pods on C.H.O.P. spinal frame. Provides patients with maximum protection from pressure and shear. Can be used in any procedure requiring the use of the C.H.O.P. spinal frame. See Details for size.

This pad set is made especially for the Kambin Frame. Pads slip over patient support surfaces and attach securely with Hook and Loop attachments. This pad set may be used whenever the procedure mandates the Kambin Frame.
