The Pediatric Positioner 4-piece Pad Set is a multi-purpose positioning unit designed to position and protect newborns and toddlers during a variety of procedures. The set consists of a rectangular shaped pad with an indented channel in the center to allow for chest expansion, a pediatric horseshoe pad and two chest rolls. Suggested utilization of the set are: place pad flat, without chest rolls, to prevent the patient from rolling while in the supine position. By placing one chest roll under the pad at the thoracic area, the chest will remain extended for anterior chest procedures. With the chest roll under the pad at the thorax and the large chest roll under the pad at the sacrum, access for posterior supine cases such as spinal tumor resection is optimum. The Action® Orthopedic Hip Positioner was originally commissioned by Dr. William Hozack of the renowned Rothman Institute Orthopaedics in Philadelphia, PA for use during total hip replacements. Designed to complement the Anterior Supine Approach to THR, this unique positioner, often called a “bump”, was engineered to provide consistent, optimal site access and patient stability while protecting the patient’s skin integrity. Our soft Akton® polymer encases a rigid foam core to create a critical frame-like stability while simultaneously redistributing pressure and shear forces that can damage the sacral tissue.

Semi-circular design with flat bottom configuration provides pressure protection under the knees while the patient is in a supine position. Also prevents foot drop for patients in prone position. The graduated, or sloping, configuration of this pad allows full chest extension. It is designed for cardiovascular or thoracic procedures, which mandate full chest hyper extension.
